On November 7, 2009, the Del Cerro HOA and representatives from the neighboring communities of Rolling Hills, the Island View, and Portuguese Bend again hosted a pancake breakfast to express our appreciation of the LA County firefighters, deputies, and mutual aid responders for their efforts in protecting our lives and property during the August fire. Also, honored and thanked were PVPUSD leadership, St. John Fisher Church’s leadership and staff, the American Red Cross, County Animal Care and Control personnel, RPV Neighborhood Watch, PVAN, DCS, and the many other volunteers and local businesses who supported the firefighting effort. The local businesses that helped cover the costs of the pancake breakfast also attended the event.
